New from Rumparooz Cloth Diapers – Sherbert!

Rumparooz Sherbert

There's quite a few fun things releasing in the cloth diaper industry this week!  Another one of my absolute favorite brands is Rumparooz.  They are coincidentally, also from Colorado!  They revealed some fun new prints and this gorgeous pink color at the ABC Kids Expo last month.  You can FINALLY purchase Sherbert today at your favorite cloth diaper retailers. Sherbert is a beautiful bright pink that is perfect for your little princess; but even a prince would wear this vivid color!  Real mean wear pink, right!! Why do I love Rumparooz? The owners, Julie & Chad, are hilarious in person.  They have an amazing sense of humor and Julie scares me daily with pictures of spiders (I'll spare you the details).  Julie started the company in her home when her own infant was having reactions from disposables.  Julie's mom taught her how to sew at a young age so she decided to sew diapers for her child.  That is how the Rumparooz family of diapers were born.  Where would we be today ... New @ California Pizza Kitchen Tampa #NewCPK #TBBloggers #Ad

#NewCPK #TBBloggers

I have found an amazing group of Tampa area bloggers and was fortunate enough to be invited to an event with California Pizza Kitchen.  If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you may have seen me sharing pictures during the day of our event.  California Pizza Kitchen in Tampa (International Mall) treated us like royalty and let us taste some of their favorite appetizers, cocktails, main plates, and desserts.  They also treated us with gift certificates to bring our families back to try out their new menu items.  I want to thank Denise with Tampa Bay Bloggers (and RunDMT blog) for organizing the details of the event with California Pizza Kitchen; I don't think I've laughed this hard in a long time. ...and my stomach still hasn't recovered! I ate so much food that day, I think I left 5 lbs heavier. This group photo of all of us (minus Marisa who had to leave early) is one of my favorite photos from the day.  Take a look at the wall behind us which is made from recovered wine ... [ Read More ]

50 Questions Answered – Vlog Style

A blogger friend of mine (Jen from Me, Myself and Jen) tagged me to answer 50 questions about myself, so I decided to answer them in a vlog!  I hope you don't get too annoyed with the prancing pug who's making clicking noises as he walks around the living room.  I really need to get him some puppy socks! If you want to watch this video directly on YouTube: http://youtu.be/gAzvacx58nk After filming this I realized that I'm pretty boring and don't have a lot of "favorites!"  I also don't remember too many things. What questions do you still have for me?  Anything you'd like me to answer?  Just ask in the comments. I'm also tagging Jenny, Kim, and Maria to answer 50 things about themselves!  Can't wait to hear your responses. ... [ Read More ]

Zevia – A Better Soda? #momsmeet

Zevia Zero Calorie Soda

Are you a soda drinker? Do you let your kids drink soda?  What I'm about to tell you may shock you, but I hope you'll still love me at the end of the day. I received this product for free from the sponsor of the Moms Meet program, May Media Group LLC, who received it directly from the manufacturer. As a Moms Meets blogger, I agree to use this product and post my opinions on my blog. My opinions do not necessarily reflect the opinions of May Media Group LLC or the manufacturer of this product. I don't drink a ton of soda, but I do enjoy a nice bubbly glass (bottle, can) of soda about 1-2 times a week.  I usually reserve my soda intake for when we go out to eat.  We usually have a bottle of soda in the house for mixed drinks (Coke, rum, and a splash of lime....enough said).  We limit the soda intake in our kids but we don't restrict soda completely; again they don't get it at home and usually only ask for it when at a restaurant.  I applaud parents who can be strict about ... Ecocentric Mom Box Review October

EcoCentricMom

The mailman once again delivered my small box of eco-friendly goodies (sent to me for review from Ecocentric Mom - affiliate link).  My mail guy (Jeffrey) knows when to bring the bundle of goodies to my door and when to leave them in the mailbox; this is one of those times when he knocks. Since his deliveries have become later and later in the day, I have to fight my kids for a few minutes of peace while I open MY box.  I explain to them that MAYBE I'll share some of the goods with them....MAYBE! I slowly cut a slit in the packing tape and find the pretty pink tissue paper staring up at me with love. I resist the urge to rip the paper and tear into the goods.  Instead I gently pull open the tissue paper to see what awaits me.  This month was fun, and I did end up sharing a few things with my kids. The Duck & Goose Find a Pumpkin book came just in time for my newest little bookworm to enjoy for Fall.  You can find this adorable board book (and other books by Tad ... [ Read More ]

Fun Things To Do at TradeWinds Island Resort With Kids

Fun Things To Do at TradeWinds Island Resort With Kids

If you're looking for a fun place to take your kids for a fun filled day (or week) on the beach, consider visiting St. Pete Beach and the TradeWinds Island Resort.  The weather is still warm in Florida this Fall and the water is still warm enough to swim.  My daughter and I were invited to spend a day at TradeWinds earlier this summer and I'm ready to go back! I hold a special place in my heart for St. Pete Beach. When I was growing up, my Grandmother lived one block from TradeWinds and I spent a lot of time as a child playing in the Gulf of Mexico. I remember vividly walking down to the beach with our arms full of sand toys.  I remember vividly how she used to sit on the beach for hours reading her books.  I remember vividly walking down the street to Larry's Ice Cream.  I used to love picking out a new souvenir at the little shop in front of her complex.  I still get a little teary eyed when I drive past the complex where she used to live (she died when I was in high ...
