Wordless Wednesday – The Oil Spill

Explanation – Sunday after church my son gives me his art project from Sunday School.  He then explained to me that the blue pipe cleaners represent water and the brown represents oil from the spill.  He’s SEVEN years old – and THIS is what he thinks about!  It makes me sad that he has to think about oil spills and environmental damage – but that’s the world we live in.

Its GREAT that he is thinking about the oil spill. This IS the world we live in and he is growing up aware of how delicate our ecosystems are. Good for him!

Oh that breaks my heart!! I have a hard time watching/reading anything about the spill because it's just too big for me to handle. There are moments in each generation that are imprinted with indelible ink…sadly, sounds like this will be for him :(
